Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Wazaby Tech LLC ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and shares information when you use the Actor2Actor mobile app and the actor2actor.com website (together, the "Service"). By using the Service, you agree to the collection and use of information as described here.
1. Information we collect
Account information
When you create an account, we collect your email address and a password, handled through our authentication provider (Amazon Cognito). If you sign in with Google or Apple instead, we receive your email address and, where you've made it available, your name from that provider. You can unlink a connected Google or Apple account at any time from your in-app profile.
Profile and gameplay information
As you play, we store the information that makes up your account: username, avatar, total points, level, play streak, preferred difficulty, tutorial progress, badges earned, and mission progress. We also store your game history — the puzzles you've played, hints used, guesses made, scores, and any head-to-head challenges you create or accept.
Push notification data
If you allow notifications, we store a device push token and your platform (iOS or Android) so we can deliver notifications like your daily puzzle reminder. Turning off notifications in your device settings stops this.
Purchase and subscription information
If you subscribe to Actor2Actor Plus, your purchase is handled by the Apple App Store or Google Play and processed through our subscription platform, RevenueCat. We receive and store your subscription status and expiration date — we never see or store your payment card details.
Usage and analytics information
We collect gameplay events — for example, when a game starts or finishes, or when a hint is used — tied to your internal account identifier, not your email. We use this to operate the Service and to run internal experiments that test new features before rolling them out broadly.
Waitlist email
If you joined the pre-launch waitlist on actor2actor.com before the app was available, we stored the email address you provided so we could notify you at launch.
Support communications
If you contact us for help, we keep a record of that conversation, including any contact information and details you share with us, so we can respond and follow up.
2. What we don't collect
- We don't collect or store payment card numbers — that's handled entirely by the Apple App Store or Google Play.
- We don't use third-party advertising or tracking SDKs, and we don't sell personal information.
- Movie and actor information shown in the app (photos, titles, credits) comes from The Movie Database (TMDB) as public content data. No information about you is sent to TMDB.
3. How we use it
We use the information above to:
- Create and maintain your account, and keep your progress, points, and streak accurate across sessions and devices.
- Operate core gameplay, including daily puzzles, head-to-head races, and challenges you send to friends.
- Personalize difficulty and surface features like badges and missions.
- Send you notifications you've opted into, such as a daily puzzle reminder.
- Process and manage your Actor2Actor Plus subscription.
- Understand how the Service is used, fix problems, and test improvements through internal experiments.
- Prevent fraud and abuse, and verify purchases.
- Respond to support requests and enforce our terms.
- Notify waitlist subscribers when the app becomes available.
4. How we share it
Your username, level, and scores are visible to other players — on leaderboards, and to whoever you challenge or race against. This is core to how the game works, not something we can turn off selectively; if you'd rather not be identifiable this way, choose a username that isn't your real name.
Beyond that, we don't sell your personal information. We share information only with the service providers that help us run Actor2Actor, and only as needed for them to do that job:
- Amazon Web Services (AWS) — hosts our infrastructure, including your account and gameplay data, in the United States.
- RevenueCat — processes subscription status using your internal account identifier, not your email or name.
- Apple and Google — handle sign-in, push notification delivery, and app store purchases under their own privacy policies.
We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect the rights and safety of Actor2Actor or our users, or in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets — in which case we'd tell you before your information becomes subject to a different privacy policy.
5. Retention
We keep your account and gameplay information for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, it's deactivated immediately and permanently erased 14 days later — simply signing back in during those 14 days cancels the deletion and restores full access. Once that window passes, we delete your personal information outright, except where we're required to keep it longer by law or for legitimate business purposes like fraud prevention. Aggregated, de-identified analytics we've already collected from your activity are not retroactively erased, since they no longer identify you.
6. Your choices & rights
You can manage notification permissions at any time from your device settings, unlink a connected Google or Apple sign-in, and delete your account — all from your in-app profile. To access or correct your personal information instead, contact us at support@wazabytech.com — we'll respond within a reasonable time and in line with applicable law.
If you're a California resident, you have rights under the CCPA/CPRA, including the right to know what personal information we hold and to request its deletion. We do not sell or "share" personal information as those terms are defined under California law.
7. Children's privacy
Actor2Actor is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us at support@wazabytech.com and we'll delete it.
8. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards to protect your information, including encrypted network transport and access controls limiting who on our team can view account data. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, and we can't guarantee absolute security.
9. Third-party services
Signing in with Google or Apple, and subscribing through the App Store or Google Play, are governed by those companies' own privacy policies in addition to this one. We encourage you to review them.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We'll update the effective date above, and if a change is material, we'll notify you through the app or by email before it takes effect.
